The Foxtail is our take on the traditional canoe paddle. We use an oval basswood
shaft together with a cedar and butternut blade. The blade is protected with
blackwalnut edges and a lexan tip wrapped with dynel. The blade is reinforced
with 4 ounce fiberglass and sealed with 4 coats of epoxy while the shaft is
