The Guide was designed for my son Andrew who works summers as a guide in the Adirondacks.
This paddle uses a 14 degree bent oval basswood shaft that is sealed
with 2 coats of epoxy and dipped in polyurethane.The blade is butternut,cedar
and black walnut with ash edges and tip that is reinforced with 4 ounce
fiberglass and epoxy and also dipped in polyurethane. A lexan strip along the
bottom offers more protection for the tip. This paddle is a great day tripper
and was also designed to work well for extended trips. Palm grip is standard.
