History and Mission

I am the second-generation Fox family member to own of FoxWorx Paddle Sports. My family bought the business in 1996 from Camp Paddles, founded in the late 1960s by Al and Joan Camp. My love for woodworking began in the FoxWorx shop, where I helped my parents build some of our earliest paddles. After growing up and paddling on the Susquehanna River, I moved to the Adirondack Mountains in 2007. My girlfriend Mary and I are very excited to be moving the business to Saranac Lake, NY, where we live.

Our paddles are handmade with the best materials we can find. Most of the lumber used is harvested locally in upstate New York. We use the Camp Paddles design for our Standard style. Additionally, and we’ve added over ten new styles. We combine locally sourced wood with high-quality composite materials to create lightweight, tough paddles.

The blade design creates a smooth entry while maintaining a solid catch and stiff power phase.

I take great pride in continuing the business I watched my parents pour their hearts into for over 30 years. My biggest priority is maintaining the quality and customer service many of you are familiar with.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
